And boy does it feel good! I took the test early Saturday morning and came out with just below a 900. I really wish I could have scored above a 900 but hey a pass is a pass. It’s weird to think that I have been working on this certification for 5 months. Time has really flown by. Guess what the next 5 months of my life is going to entail? Yep you guessed it…onto the Switch exam. I just informed my employer of my pass and they are very excited for me. I am also happy that they are going to reimburse me too. I will be posting the Switch study plan hopefully later today.

Congratulations mate! Was that 5 months while having a full time job? I’ve done my CCNA but have no experience so finding work is a bit of a nightmare. Started studying for the CCNP (route) and hoping I can make myself more marketable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

I’m in North London. There are jobs in London but it just seems that most of them require you to have years of experience and qualifications.
I figured that if I get my CCNP I’ll be in a better position.
I just need a foot in the door…

I liked your study plan for the switch exam. Really cool!

    Hope you well.

What type of routers and switches would you suggest for a home lab for CCNP?
I don’t want to spend a ton of cash but just something that will advance my studies rapidly.

I have been using GNS3 but I think because I don’t have any hands on experience with real equipment my confidence is not where it should be. I’ve seen some on ebay but there’s a lot of people that will sell you crap if you don’t know exactly what to look for.
I’ll have a look at your home lab.

            Cool. Thanks for your help.
